Sikhs lose court battle to get recorded as ethnic group in next UK census

Sikhs will not be recorded as an ethnic group in the 2021 UK census after a Sikh community group lost its long-drawn battle in the high court to challenge the ethnicity responses. The group incurred £150,000 (Rs 1.4 crore) in legal fees.
